Choosing the perfect rectangle full length mirror
The rectangle is the classic full length mirror, from slim dressing mirrors to oversized leaners. Use 500 to 650mm wide beside a wardrobe or behind a door, 700 to 800mm as a leaner in a bedroom, and 1000mm and up to open a hallway or a large room.
Most come with a stand or a lean-safe frame, and many can also be hung. Slim black metal is the modern default, gold and brass warm a bedroom, natural timber suits Scandi and coastal rooms, and beaded or carved white and silver frames belong in classic ones.
For a softer top edge, an arched full length mirror is the current favourite.

Full length mirror questions
Can it hang on the wall instead of leaning?
Often both. Many have brackets or hooks on the back, and on some the stand folds flat. Cheval mirrors on a pivoting stand are floor-standing only. Check the product page, or ask us for a photo of the back.
Is the reflection true to life?
Yes. Flat, distortion-free glass, so you see yourself as you are. No concave "slimming" mirrors here.
How do I stop it tipping?
Most leaners weigh 14 to 20kg. Lean it against a solid wall on a non-slip floor and use the anti-tip strap or wall fixing supplied, especially with kids or pets around.
Is it safety glass?
It's standard mirror glass rather than Grade A safety glass, which is normal for a home. If you're ordering for a commercial fit-out that needs safety glass, ask before ordering.
Delivery, returns and ordering
How long does delivery take?
Metro orders usually arrive in 3 to 5 business days from dispatch, with tracking emailed the moment it leaves.
Where do you deliver?
Australia-wide, and delivery is free. We can't deliver to PO boxes, so please use a street address.
What if it arrives damaged?
Our delivery drivers handle every mirror with extreme care, but in the unlikely event it arrives damaged, just let us know within 7 days with a few photos and we'll ship a replacement free of charge, with new tracking.
Can I return or exchange it?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery, in its original condition and packaging.
