Choosing the perfect arched full length mirror
An arched full length mirror is the current favourite, because the curve softens a bedroom and adds height at the same time. It turns a plain wall into a feature.
Sizes run from a slim 400 x 1500 to a generous 1000 x 2000. Use the narrow ones as a dressing mirror beside the wardrobe, and the 800 to 1000mm wide pieces as a leaner that opens the room. Most are leaners in black metal or gold and brass, and a few can be wall-hung.
For arches at eye level in a hallway, arched wall mirrors carry the same curve.
Frequently Asked Questions
Full length mirror questions
Can it hang on the wall instead of leaning?
Often both. Many have brackets or hooks on the back, and on some the stand folds flat. Cheval mirrors on a pivoting stand are floor-standing only. Check the product page, or ask us for a photo of the back.
Is the reflection true to life?
Yes. Flat, distortion-free glass, so you see yourself as you are. No concave "slimming" mirrors here.
How do I stop it tipping?
Most leaners weigh 14 to 20kg. Lean it against a solid wall on a non-slip floor and use the anti-tip strap or wall fixing supplied, especially with kids or pets around.
Is it safety glass?
It's standard mirror glass rather than Grade A safety glass, which is normal for a home. If you're ordering for a commercial fit-out that needs safety glass, ask before ordering.
Delivery, returns and ordering
How long does delivery take?
Metro orders usually arrive in 3 to 5 business days from dispatch, with tracking emailed the moment it leaves.
Where do you deliver?
Australia-wide, and delivery is free. We can't deliver to PO boxes, so please use a street address.
What if it arrives damaged?
Our delivery drivers handle every mirror with extreme care, but in the unlikely event it arrives damaged, just let us know within 7 days with a few photos and we'll ship a replacement free of charge, with new tracking.
Can I return or exchange it?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery, in its original condition and packaging.
